December News

We were supposed to leave to Nepal yesterday, but our city got a lot of snow last night, so after sitting at the airport for 8 hours our plane was cancelled and we had to go back to our apartment. Then the day after we had to get back to the airport and after another couple of delays, too much snow throughout Europe, a closed airport and wrong tickets we finally reached to Nepal. Rebecca and Samuel did amazing and now they will have a couple of days of much needed rest.

Today we celebrated Christmas with everyone at the orphanage and we also invited all of our church believers in Kathmandu to come and join us.
First we had a church service where Sudip spoke and some of the children had prepared some special things. Four of the girls danced in their national outfits and after the service we all ate goat meat and rice together. Rebecca loved to sit together with the other kids and eat and to go and visit all the animals. I believe the orphanage must be her favorite place on earth!
It was really great to see everyone again. We have missed them a lot. All of them were so surprised to see how big Rebecca had become. We are looking forward to spending some more time with all the kids.

We would like to give a great thanks to all of our supporters and wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year.
This month we will be back to Nepal with our whole family and we are really looking forward to it.
We might not be able to update our website that much while we are in Nepal, but I will make sure all the news are back up in February.
